About Lucky Puppy Rescue and Retail in Studio City, CA

The Poopie Foundation:

Melissa Bacelar and Jeff Spinner created The Poopie Foundation Rescue and Education 501c 3 non-profit organization when after moving to Los Angeles learned of how many dogs were losing their lives daily in "Kill Shelters".

They vowed to make a change.

In 2011 Melissa met Rachel Elizabeth Kennedy, who became a loving foster to numerous unwanted dogs. Soon Rachel became an invaluable part of the rescue effort and adopted the title V.P of The Poopie Foundation.

Melissa and Rachel's dream was to open a Humane store and an upscale boutique. A place where they could have rescue dogs for adoption, providing an inviting atmosphere for families to meet the new member of their family. That is when Lucky Puppy Rescue and Retail was born.
